Action Toyota: New Prius Is Coming Soon

PRLog (Press Release)– Apr 21, 2011– As New England's Prius Authority, Acton Toyota of Littleton is pleased to announce that beginning April 22nd, 2011, Earth Day, Toyota will launch a special Priority Reservation sign-up website for customers who have a strong interest in the highly anticipated Prius Plug-In aston martin Hybrid Vehicle.

The Prius Plug-In is similar in concept to the P acura rius hybrid in the sense both are powered by Toyota's gas-electric Hybrid Synergy Drive. However, the two vehicles employ different battery packs. The Prius Plug-In will come equipped with a larger, higher-capacity lithium-ion battery pack. Once this battery pack is discharged, Prius Plug-In changes to hybrid mode. This battery pack can also be charged by plugging the vehicle into a 110v outlet for 3 hours or a 220v outlet for 1.5 hours.  In short, Prius Plug-In can use all-electric power for many short trips or hybrid power for longer trips.

The Excitement Builds At Action Toyota

As one might expect, production volume for the Prius Plug-In will be limited. Toyota will deploy an Online Order System through which most of the volume will be distributed. Ultimately, the Prius Plug-In will be available for delivery at Toyota dealerships in just 15 states at launch.  Don't worry, Massachusetts is one of them! Then, in 2013, the vehicle will be available in all 50 states.

Come April 22nd, individuals who are intrigued by the Prius Plug-In and its technology and are seriously considering buying one of the first Prius Plug-ins can register online at the Priority Registration Site. Current Toyota owners who already have a Customer Central account will simply need to update it to document their interest in the Prius Plug-In. Newcomers will need to create an account and provide contact information.

Then, beginning in the fall of 2011, customers who have established accounts will have a special Priority Order Window of around 4 to 6 weeks to place an order for a Prius Plug-in before the ordering p audi rocess will be opened up to the general public. They'll be able to select their preferred equipment and color, and select Acton Toyota of Littleton as the dealer through which they want to order their vehicle. Delivery, provided by the local dealer, will follow in about five to six months-beginning in spring 2012 for the first customers to place an order.

Please note cadillac Toyota's special Priority Reservation sign-up website is not yet functional.  The site will go live April 22nd.  It is on this day, you'll be able to access the site and place your Plug-In reservation.  The website is: www.toyota.com/plugin.
