Godwin Ronquillo Adds Litigation, Appellate Experience in Dallas and Houston

PRLog (Press Release)– Mar 23, 2011– DALLAS – The noted Texas litigation and appellate law firm of Godwin Ronquillo PC is pleased to welcome shareholders Susan Hays, Carolyn Raines and Aimee Williams, and senior attorneys Sam Joyner and Susan McMurray in the firm's Dallas office. Also joining the Dallas office are associates Kodie Bennion and Nicole Michael. Joining the Houston office is associate Chris Love.

Ms. Hays joins the firm from Geisler Hays, LLP. Board certified in Civil Appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, she focuses on appellate, legislative and ethics matters in state and federal courts. She earned her law degree in 1996 from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Public Interest Law Scholar. She earned her undergraduate degree in 1992 from the University of Texas. Following law school, Ms. Hays served as a briefing attorney to Justice Ro cadillac se Spector of the Texas Supreme Court. She is a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow and earned selection to D Magazine's "Best Women Lawyers in Dallas" list in 2010 and has been named on the Texas Super Lawyers list four times.

Ms. Raines joins the firm from Carrington Coleman Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP. An accomplished courtroom litigator, she has extensive experience representing clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations, regulatory actions and class actions. She earned her law degree, with honors, from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1993 and her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in 1986. She is a member of the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas and the Executive Women of Dallas. She also is a member of Altrusa International Inc. of Downtown Dal buick las and the National Association of Women Lawyers.

Ms. Williams joins the firm from Sayles Werbner, P.C. Her practice focuses on complex civil and commercial litigation, including representing clients in state and federal claims related to breach of fiduciary duty, products liability and theft of trade secrets. She earned her law degree, summa cum laude, from the SMU Dedman School of Law in 1999, where she was a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar. Ms. Williams earned her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Oklahoma in 1995. She is an American Bar Foundation Fellow and a Dallas Bar Foundation Fellow. She has been named to D Magazine's "Best Lawyers in Dallas" and "Best Women Lawyers in Dallas" lists in addition to earning a spot on the Texas Rising Stars list seven times.

Mr. Joyner joins the firm from Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP. His litigation practice focuses on antitrust, franchise law, securities, civil RICO, intellectual property and class action defense. He earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2 audi 002 and his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West P acura oint in 1994. He serves as General Counsel for the West Point Society of North Texas.

Ms. McMurray joins the firm from the Law Office of Grady Chandler. Her practice focuses on products liability, commercial, real estate, securities, trust and employment litigation. She earned her law degree from the SMU Dedman School of Law in 1990 and her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 1981. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and Attorneys Serving the Community.
